Iron Condor

04/27/07 | 196 words | Categories: Misc.

For those who are not familiar with the term iron condor let me explain. The Iron Condor is a neutral Spread strategy similar to the Iron Butterfly. Using the Iron Condor, an investor combines a Bear-Call Credit Spread and a Bull-Put Credit Spread on the same security. When you do this, you as the investor potentially will be able to double the credit obtained over a single spread position. As there are two spreads involved in the strategy, there is an upper break even and a lower break even. A profit is then made if the stock remains above the lower break even point or below the upper break even point.

Now that you know what it is and how you can use it to make money for yourself, you just need to find out where to invest. PowerOptions can help. PowerOptions is the only internet-based data provider that gives investors SmartSearchXL, this is a patented decision support technology that identifies the highest return option trades. Making it easier for you as the investor to determine exactly where you would like to invest your money, and where you will receive the highest returns on your investment.
