Right now I have my flat screen mounted on the wall above the fireplace. My wife doesn't really like it there too much as she says that she has to really look upward to get the best view. Maybe it is because I am much taller that I don't notice it. Either way the wife is always right so I am going to be out shopping for tv stands all day. Not just any tv stand though but one that really matches the room according to her. This might take a little while.

I am sitting here right now looking out my back window. I have a great view of the lake blocked only by a few very beautiful Apricot trees that add so much color to the yard. To think that only a couple of years ago I was sitting on the other side of the country with a very different view. It is amazing to me how much can change in such a short amount of time.

Rumors are that the insurance rates are getting lower and lower right now. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that most of the insurance companies are on the verge of closing and will do anything to get new clients. Either way I am currently searching for cheap term life insurance that I can get hooked up. I figure if the rates are low than now would be the best time to check it out.

Not the perfect vacation but I guess its better than sitting home all summer long.

I have had some time off lately what with the economy being in the dumps and all so I decided to take some of that time to catch up on some reading. I have a vast collection of good Christian books, so I simply went to the shelf and pulled on off to get started. It was a book by Jesse Duplantis. I have to say that he is one of the funniest Christian authors around. If you haven't heard of him look him up online.

I recently came to realize that half the stuff in my wallet is worthless. I mean, half the credit cards are either maxed out or shut off at this point and I'm carrying them around for no reason at all. I found several membership cards from years ago that I don't even remember when I was a member of those places. Just a whole bunch of stuff like that, things that are taking my wallet and turning them into a purse. So I think it's time to cut some things out and just get back to the basics again.

With the way things have been service based businesses are getting hurt real bad. People are finding it better to save the money and start doing some of the things they used to hire out on their own. Everyone knows the economy is getting worse every day. What I don't understand is why it is that companies are actually charging more for their products. What I used to pay $1.50 for is now costing me $1.75 and the container is smaller giving me less product. It just doesn't make sense to me why companies would raise prices when Americans can barely afford things as it is. I can't even imagine the increase on things like Ferrari parts has gone to at this point.
