New Stuff

My daughter just finished the regional cheer competition for pop warner and although she won they only gave the team one trophy. I am thinking about going and buying her a trophy of her own. I found this place online that sells everything from cheer and football trophies to Pinewood derby trophies. I am sure I will find something there that is not too expensive that she will like.

My daughter just finished the regional competition for pop warner cheer association and I am happy to say that they once again won this year. That is two years in a row now which is not bad considering that she has only been in cheer for two years. Maybe this year they will place better at nationals, who knows they might even win.

I am glad to say that cheer season is almost over. Once again, this year my daughter's cheer squad won the greater North Florida Championships and have moved on to regionals. This consists of teams from all over a four state area. The competition is just after Thanksgiving and then its done. Well, that is unless they win again like they did last year. Then I have to worry about nationals and that is not going to be fun at all.

My parents moved to the beach a little while back. It is not just a location but a lifestyle. The people there are very different than those that live further inland. There is a whole demeanor that comes with living at the beach I guess. There is lots of drinking and people spend all their time on their porches or riding around on their cruiser bikes on the sand. It is not a bad life by any mean but it is very different than what we are all used to. But I do have to say, those bikes are pretty nice and would give me a decent workout in the sand.

I love sports. I have always loved sports. Been a sports fan as long as I can remember at least. I can remember the very first San Francisco Giants game I ever went to. The smell in the air, the crowd going nuts, the field looking so green. I can remember taking my son to his very first baseball game and how much fun we had even though he was probably too young to remember it himself.

The point is that when it comes to sports I can talk about it all day long, but I will not do that here. This blog is about all sorts of things. That is why I just joined up with this new social sports network called Sportsviews. The place has all sorts of great areas to explore and talk about your favorites sports. Plus if you are a gambling man, like myself, than you can become a member and bet on sports events and issues. You can even create your own bets and challenge others.
