New Stuff

I used to be really into my graphic design work but over the last few years I have just found my way out of it. I ended up being so much more business than pleasure and spent all my time working and crunching numbers instead of doing what I loved. So the last couple weeks I have dove back into Photoshop to get back to my first love. Of course it is just like riding a bike and I am almost completely back to my groove. Who knows maybe someday I will actually make some money in this field.

I love art, well truth is that I love all sorts of art not just painting art but music, drama and dance as well. Pretty much anything that has any sort of artistic side to it I like. I try and keep up to date on all the new stuff. The art shows and exhibits and everything in between. I just enjoy going to things like that. Maybe I am a dinosaur in the world of web design but I think web design is just getting too complicated. I think that the problem is that the programs and style of design that I learned on has become almost irrelevant. It seems that html is a thing of the past and that all the new websites are designed with php scripting and macromedia flash. Maybe it is just me being cheap and not wanting to spend the extra money to invest in the proper programs needed to learn. Or maybe it is not wanting to take the time to learn. It is probably however a combination of all of those things. Call me a dinosaur if you want, the old school way still works, so I will stick with it and let the up and comers get all fancy with their flash stuff.
